All In A Day's Work

So first, another Fourth of July having gone by without America having gone down the drain.

That's always good.

Now, many interesting things have happened. But, let's skip the past while since I'm sure you've all been keeping up with the news. Instead, let us begin with today's goin's-on with the El Rushbo "In a Hurry" letter:

The Al-Qaeda leader recently captured in Iraq, Khaled Abdul-Fattah Dawoud Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, says that Abu Omar al-Baghdadi, leader of the Islamic State of Iraq, doesn't exist. The group doesn't exist either. Al-Qaeda made the whole thing up to win over Iraqis and make it look like the violence over there is sectarian. There is no civil war in Iraq. Foreign Al-Qaeda fighters are streaming in to be killed and captured by our forces. It's more bad news for Democrats (Rush 24/7 Members: Listen Here).

Democrat Congressman Keith Ellison, the first Muslim in the U.S. Congress, compared President Bush to Hitler. Now Nicholas Kristof of the New York Times has compared Vice President Cheney to Mahmood Amadinijhad. Kristof uses certified conspiracy nut Gary Sick of "October Surprise" fame to bolster his point.

Chow down, people! If people keep gaining weight at this rate, "fat" will be the new normal by 2015.

Bill Clinton on Good Morning America is asked to respond to Elizabeth Edwards' criticism of Hillary. Bill said, "I don't think she's trying to be a man." What has Hillary done for women, anyway? Can anybody tell us? Asked about Iraq, Bill says there won't be a military victory, and subtly shifts the goalposts to the political success of the Maliki government. Look for other Democrats to pick up on this trend. (Rush 24/7 Members: Listen Here).

Senator John Kerry, who served in Vietnam, was on C-SPAN denying that a bloodbath occurred after we pulled out of Vietnam and suggests that some Vietnamese who were put into re-education camps are doing great now. This guy could have president! A female caller then rips old Lurch on his military record and his undermining of the troops. (Rush 24/7 Members: Listen Here).

Is there a movement to remove garlic from Italian food? Yes, and it's happening in Rome.

Cindy Sheehan is a perfect example of liberal cruelty. Democrats used this obviously damaged woman and made her a star in her own mind. Now that she's decided to run against Nancy Pelosi, they've turned on her and will destroy her. Relationship experts on the Today show praise the Clinton marriage and discuss what happens when Type A marries Type B.

Here's an AP headline: "Blacks in US Imprisoned at Five Times the Rate of Whites." And this tells us what, exactly? Rush explains. (Rush 24/7 Members: Listen Here).

Environmentalist wackos vandalize a Hummer.

A caller compares Rush to George Washington and urges him run for president. Rush promises to think about the idea and says, "The only difference between me and George Washington is if somebody wanted to make me king, I'd take it."

Thanks to Byron York for his cover piece in National Review. He's posted a summary at National Review Online. It's a rare event when you talk to a journalist and what you say actually gets into what they write.

Harry Reid staged the Senate Slumber Party to boost fundraising from the anti-war wackos of his base, despite Drive-By attempts to spin it otherwise.

Rush offers The Limbaugh Compromise: We'll withdraw from Iraq if Democrats agree that after our defeat, all stories on the withdrawal must include a spilt screen shot of Al-Qaeda celebrating on one side and Democrats congratulating themselves on the other, or Iraqis being slaughtered on one side and Democrats congratulating themselves on the other.

Rush gives us the inside scoop on the Democrats' SCHIP legislation (State Children's Health Insurance Program) for "kids" up to 25 years old! It's a huge tax increase and a giant step toward government run health care. President Bush says he'll veto it.

Democrats are trying to pull a homeland security bill provision that will protect the public from being sued for reporting suspicious behavior that could lead to a terrorist attack. As usual, Democrats are on the side of radical Islamists and trial lawyers, not the security interests of the nation.

A judge has tossed out Valerie Plame's lawsuit against the Bush administration.

All that and more will be at RushLimbaugh.com tonight when we update the site.

Roger Hedgecock hosts tomorrow's program. Rush returns to the Golden EIB Microphone on Monday.

I feel like looking into that SCHIP stuff, see it for myself. I encourage all readers to do the same. Be back later!
