Tooting the Terrible Title

I thought that recent right-wing blog posts about AP titles were at least a little farce, until I saw a NYT article in the Wednesday Atlanta Journal-Constitution entitled "Taliban's message to Cheney" with a subtitle that - get this - refers to AQ as "rebels."

Al Qaeda? Rebels? Really?

...

...

NO!, NO, NO, and NO!

Not REBELS, you dumb f*cks - terrorists!

It's amazing, really, what our media can pull off when it's got its head up its ass.

The New Media

This is why I prefer multimedia to the old fashioned bits of paper no longer deserving of the tile "news." When the "hard-newsy" NYT and Newsweek spoon with the terrorists, its up to "opinionated" smartasses like Maher to actually see sense. Why is it that the people who should be taken seriously are the people who are not taken seriously?

Seriously, what's goin' on here!?

Oh, and the facts that the NYT-supporting rabbi physically assaults pro-Israeli freelancers and that the Newsweek author was praised by the pro-Islamic NAJA following her "article," if it can be called that.

Hypocrisies, hypocrisies. Our world is just swimming 'n drowning in 'em, isn't it?
